Brainard Village Board honors Swanda's service with BVFD

“The Brainard Volunteer Fire Department is one of the strongest organizations in the community and that is due to people like you—you have given your time, talent and service to the community.” With those words, Brainard Village Board Chairman Greg Janak presented a plaque of appreciation to Jerry Swanda , who recently retired after 44 years on the BVFD including 31 as fire chief.
