LINCOLN -- Dennis E. Mares, 74, of Lincoln died Saturday, July 3, 2010.Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 500 North 31st Street in Lincoln, with Father Michael Morin officiating. Visitation was after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home Rosary is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street in Lincoln. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
Mr. Mares was born at Dwight.

William "Bill" Bartlett
Bill Bartlett, 54, of David City, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 22, at Kracl Funeral Chapel in David City, with Jerry L. Kracl, speaker. Burial was at David City Cemetery.
Bill was born April 14, 1956, in David City to Hugh and Dorothy (Kovar) Bartlett. He graduated from David City High School and spent his entire life in David City.
Bill did landscaping work, helped at Sabata Farms and did odd jobs as a handyman in David City.

LINCOLN - Juanita Lucille Prater Anne Caskey, 72, was called home to be with God, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. She was born January 21, 1938, and raised in Rulo and Omaha.
A Funeral Mass was held Monday, June 7, at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ. Interment was at Wyuka Cemetary.

WAHOO -- Duane L. Henrichson, 76, of Ceresco died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at the Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo.
Funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Davey, with interment at Rock Creek Cemetery at Ceresco, with military honors by American Legion Post 244. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Wednesday at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo and after 6 p.m. at the church with scripture service and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m. One hour of visitation will precede service Thursday.

Norma Jean Kovar, 77, of David City died Saturday at Butler County Health Care Center in David City. Mass of Christian burial is at 10 a.m. Friday, April 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. Visitation with family receiving friends is from 4-8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., on Thursday, both at Kracl Funeral Chapel in David City.

Drew Paul Allen Fiala, 11, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 10:00am, March 17, 2010 at St. Mary's Church, David City with Fr. Bernard Kimminau officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday, from 3-7pm at St. Mary's Church followed by a 7pm parish rosary. Refreshments will be served at the KC Hall immediately following the rosary. Additional viewing will be on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.
Memorials may be given to the Aquinas Endowment Fund.

Dorothy Hull
Dorothy M. Hull, 98, of David City, formerly of Grand Island, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, in Lincoln.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at Chermok Funeral Home in David City, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be at the David City Cemetery.
Dorothy was born Dec. 12, 1911, at Harrison to George and Etta (Pollman) Hascall. She attended school in Garrison through the eighth grade and graduated from David City High School in 1930. She was a sales clerk in Hills Bakery in David City.

Dona D. Meysenburg, 76, of David City died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at david place in David City.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City, with Father Bernard Kimminau, celebrant. There will be a private family burial. Lunch is at Par IV Golf Course.
Dona was born July 28, 1933, in David City to James H. and Emma T. (Selzer) Gans and graduated from David City High School.

Peter J. King, 50, of David City died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at his residence in David City. A Celebration of Life will be held at 240 N. 3rd Street in David City on Friday, Jan. 8, with an open house beginning at 10 a.m. His band will be playing in his memory. Please come and celebrate Pete's life with his family and friends.
Peter was born May 11, 1959, to Hollis A. and Arlene (Domingue) King in St. Albans, Vt.

Edwin Kucera
WAHOO -- Edwin J. Kucera, 87, of Valparaiso died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo.
Services were Friday, Dec. 4, at St. Vitus Catholic Church at Touhy, with Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial was at the parish cemetery.
Mr. Kucera was born in rural Weston on May 31, 1922, to August and Mary (Matousek) Kucera. He attended School District 113, west of Weston. He then worked on the farm helping his father.
